Your Big Day - The Event Co. ("Your Big Day", "we", "us") is an event design and production studio based in New Delhi, India. This policy explains what personal data we collect through www.yourbigday.co.in and while planning your event, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under Indian law. By using this website or sending us an enquiry, you agree to this policy.

 

1. THE LAWS WE FOLLOW

We handle personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 as they come into force, and the Information Technology Act, 2000 with the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

 

2. WHAT WE COLLECT

Enquiry details: your name, phone number, email address, event type, event date, city, guest count, budget range and anything you write in your message.

Event details: once you book with us, the information needed to deliver your event, such as venue, schedule, guest lists, travel and stay arrangements, food preferences and vendor requirements.

Payment records: invoices, amounts and transaction references. We do not store card numbers, UPI PINs or banking passwords.

Photos and videos: images and footage captured at events we produce.

Website data: device, browser, pages viewed and approximate location, collected through cookies used by our website platform.

 

3. WHY WE USE IT

We use your data to reply to your enquiry, prepare proposals and quotations, plan and deliver your event, coordinate venues and vendors, raise invoices and keep accounts, meet legal and tax obligations, keep our website secure, and improve our services. We send offers or updates only if you have agreed to receive them, and you can stop them at any time.

 

4. CONSENT

We collect personal data with your consent, given when you submit our form, message or call us, or sign an agreement with us, and for other uses the law permits. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect what was done before it, and it may mean we can no longer provide a service that depends on that data.

 

5. GUEST INFORMATION YOU GIVE US

If you share details of your guests, family members, employees or delegates, you confirm that you are authorised to share them. We use such details only to deliver your event.

 

6. PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEOS

We may photograph and film the events we produce. We show a client's event on our website, Instagram or other marketing material only with that client's permission. If you appear in an image we have published and want it removed, contact us and we will take it down.

 

7. WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

We share only what is needed with venues, hotels, caterers, decorators, photographers, artists, travel and logistics partners and other vendors working on your event; with service providers such as our website host, payment and accounting providers; and with government or law enforcement authorities when the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.

 

8. COOKIES

Our website is hosted on Wix. Wix and related tools use cookies to keep the site working, secure and measured. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may then not work properly.

 

9. WHERE DATA IS STORED

Our website host and some service providers store data on servers outside India. Where data is transferred abroad, we do so only as Indian law permits.

 

10. HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted within 24 months. Client and payment records are kept for as long as tax, accounting and other laws require. After that, data is deleted or anonymised.

 

11. SECURITY

We use reasonable safeguards, including restricted access, password protection and secure platforms, to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a personal data breach affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

 

12. CHILDREN

Our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data of anyone under 18 without the verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian.

 

13. YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS

Under Indian data protection law you have the right to:

- know what personal data we hold about you, how it is being used and who it has been shared with;
